Samsung UE55D8000 Elite Reference Settings

A little while ago I purchased a Samsung UE55D8000 Elite, it is by far the best television I have ever owned and out of the box the picture looks amazing, though not exactly natural.

These settings below are based on a combination of the calibration settings from the AV Forum, followed by tweaking for my own preference and room settings.

At first it will seem like the image is dull when compared to the out of the box setting, but give it a few days and you should find you get to love it (and the default settings feel to "fizzy" and lively.

Standard Settings:
Picture Mode: Movie
Backlight: 15 (But depends on personal preference and your room light levels)
Contrast: 95
Brightness: 46
Sharpness: 0 for BluRay and Concole Games, 10 for SkyHD. You're on your own for SD, adjust as desired.
Colour: 50
Tint: 50/50

Advanced Settings:
Black Tone: Off
Dynamic Contrast: Off
Shadow Detail: 2
Gamma: 0 (some prefer a little more here, 1 or 2)
Colour Space: Custom (Leave on Auto if you want more "pop")
Red: 49 0 0
Green: 2 57 0
Blue: 0 4 81
Yellow: 53 51 1
Cyan: 0 52 52
Magenta: 43 4 49
White Balance: 22 23 24 17 26 28
10p White Balance:
1: 4 4 0

Digital Noice Filter: Off for purists, Auto if you prefer some enhancement (Can really help SD).
MPEG Noise Filter: Off for purists, Auto if you prefer some enhancement (Can really help SD).
Film Mode: Auto 2
Motion Plus: Standard
